Today was the 2nd day of Stamford Inter Private University Football Tournament 2004. There were two matches scheduled. The first one was between North South University and Daffodil International University , and the second one was Eastern University Vs Stamford University.
The first game started at 2:30 pm in the noon . Due to rain the match was delayed 30 minutes. From the very beginning the North South University Football team kept on attacking the opponent and Mir Sayeed Hossain scored the first goal for NSU at the 20th minute. Within 12 minutes time, Kashefur Rahman scored another goal in favor of NSU. And the score was NSU 2 – 0 DIU before the half time. But the journey didn't stop there for the NSUers! In the 59th minute, M Fazle Taher Miller of NSU Football team scored another goal for his team. And before the closing of the game two more goals were scored by the NSUers, Miller and Kashef shared one goals each. In the end, NSU was 5 and DIU 0. With this result NSU Football team enojys the better chance to become the winner from B group. Man of the match was awarded to Kashefur Rahman of North South Univeristy. Today's second match between Eastern University and Stamford University was not held as the Eastern University Football team decided not to play. As a result of this, Stamford University got the walkover.
