Everybody was waiting for this mega day, the final match of the Stamford Inter Private University Football Tournament 2004! As you have already known that the Asian University and the Stamford University reached the final. It was a very exciting game and each of the team attacked their opponent every now and then! There was a continuous battle between the two teams. And match was drawn after the FULL TIME, and the score after that full time was ASIAN 0-0 Stamford . So the match extended to the Golden Goal. And still there were no goals scored by any team. So the need for the TIE BREAKER arose. And in the tie breaker Stamford University defeated the Asian University by 3 - 2 goals. Man of the match was awarded to Atiqur Rahman of the winning team.

Player of the Tournament was awarded to Saifullah Arafat of Stamford University . And the top goal scorer award was given to Masud Khan Jhonny of Asian University for scoring 8 goals in the tournament.

After the ending of the match, the prize giving ceremony took place. In this ceremony the chief guest was Honorable State Minister, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Peoples' Republic of Bangladesh , Mr. Fazlur Rahman, MP, and He handed over the prizes. Moreover, as special guests there were, Mr. Anwarul Haque Helal, General Secretary, Bangladesh Football Federation, Mr. Ashrafuddin Ahmed Chunnu, Asst. General Secretary, Bangladesh Football Federation, Dr. M A Hannan Firoz, President and Vice Chancellor, Stamford University, Dr. Abul Hasan M Sadeq, Vice Chancellor, Asian University of Bangladesh, and Prof. Jamaluddin Ahmed, Pro Vice Chancellor, Stamford University.

With the prize giving ceremony we declare the end of the 1 st Inter Private University Football Tournament in the history of Bangladesh , which is known as “Stamford Inter Private University Football Tournament 2004”, and which was organized by “AURITRO” the first sports event management organization in the history of Bangladesh .
